The day started out early and was beautiful, with our first views of Annapurna South.

These kids had a one hour walk down the steps to school and a one hour walk up to get home at the end of the day.

Our surroundings were beautiful and we thought the trek today would include about 3800 steps. What we didn't know at the beginning was that the entire trek was mostly either up or down steps.
While we didn't make it to Ghorepani with the rest of the group, we were rewarded with a delightful stay at Nangethanti. That night we ate dinner in a true Nepali kitchen.
